Installation of mixed-media chairs
Have a Seat presents fragments of chairs and chair-like objects, forms that appear functional but quietly reject their expected roles. These pieces are not failures; they simply no longer perform on our terms.
Rooted in object-oriented ontology, the work challenges the notion that a chair must be useful to be considered complete. A chair that is too tall, too narrow, or overly ornate does not lose its identity. It continues to exist on its own, without waiting for a human to make it whole.
